Modern Humanity

Understanding that times change, and progress is inevitable. Is change always for the better? Is progress always for the better? It depends on the circumstances, and even the reasoning for the changes.

‍ ‍

Most of us here at Created Outdoors are of the age that we remember a time when we could walk around town, ride our bikes anywhere we wanted to go within reason. In this modern culture we consistently see children being abducted, and missing in the news. What has changed?

The two main things that have changed, are the personnel that make the curriculum in schools have taken the pledge out of schools, and more importantly removed God from schools. The pledge teaches a unity among us as American citizens. A sense of belonging, and purpose to support each other. An understanding that the best of every culture in the world is what makes the United States of America the greatest country on earth. Without God, we as human beings tend to go astray. We tend to follow our temptations, and compassion for others flies out the window. We become selfish, and intolerant of others. We only see our way, and not the way of God.

‍ ‍

While we can confirm that political turmoil is an issue as old as time. Most of us over the age of 30 can remember a time when we could have a mature conversation about politics. Sometimes, even a heated discussion with a co-worker, friend, or family member, and share an enjoyable meal a few minutes later. The selfishness of humanity has changed so much, that it seems that we are willing to argue just to argue. Romans 14:1 says, “As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.”. Without the sense of unity, and the moral guidance of the Word of God, we are gone astray. If you take the time to listen to others respectfully, you will see that most of us agree on what issues are present. We have different ideas on how to change them, but there is common ground. Maturity is missing from the young adult population in a large capacity. Most are unable to be friends with anyone that identifies themselves as an opposing political party. As if they are somehow less than. We are all created in the image of God.

‍ ‍

Positive change does not come from the human capability. This means that politicians will not be able to make a positive change on their own. Doctors are not able to make a positive change on their own. No matter what modern humanity would have you believe. We are all able to make a positive change in ourselves, environment, and even people that we have in our lives as long as we rely on God to do so. Praying for betterment in ourselves, and those around us is the first step. Pray for those that we love, and pray harder for our enemies. Matthew 5:44 tells us, “But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you.”.

The guide for a positive change is the bible. Studying the word of God, and praying frequently are the keys to positivity and change for the better. Life will not always be easy, but eternal life at the right hand of our Lord God is the end result. An amazing life in Heaven with Jesus Christ! Philippians 4:19 tells us, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”.

Until next time, hunt hard, and pray harder.
